Cindy Opoku-Antwi
Hi, I’m glad you’re here! Reaching out for mental health support can be a big step, and my goal is to make that step feel a little easier. I bring over a decade of medical experience and five years as a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, along with a warm, down-to-earth approach to care.
Reaching out for mental health support can be a big step, and my goal is to make that step feel a little easier.
I want you to feel heard, respected, and supported as we work together toward the changes you’d like to see.
First session
Think of your first session as a conversation, not a test. We’ll take time to understand what you’ve been experiencing, what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past, and what you’d like to improve. You’ll have space to ask questions, discuss medication options when appropriate, and leave with a clearer understanding of the next steps in your care.
Strengths
I believe the best care starts with feeling heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. You are more than a diagnosis, so we’ll work together to create a plan that fits your unique experiences, strengths, and goals. My approach combines evidence-informed care with genuine collaboration while considering your emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. We’ll take it one step at a time, together.
Ideal clients
I welcome adults of all ages and backgrounds navigating ADHD, mood concerns, psychosis, substance dependence, and other mental health challenges. Care is centered around thoughtful medication management with supportive therapy, all in a warm, collaborative, and judgment-free space. You can expect care that meets you where you are, without pressure or judgment. We’ll talk openly about your concerns, treatment options, and what matters most to you. My goal is for you to feel comfortable asking questions, participating in decisions, and being yourself throughout the process. 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and people of all racial and cultural backgrounds are welcome here.
Treatment methods
Supportive
Supportive therapy is woven into my approach to care. Our visits aren’t just about medications. We’ll also talk about what’s happening in your life, what may be contributing to your symptoms, and what’s helping or getting in the way of your progress. Together, we’ll build on your strengths, explore practical ways to cope with challenges, and make sure your treatment continues to support the life you want to live.
