I seek to provide a non-judgmental safe space for you to begin or continue to address life stressors, so you can heal and grow. Therapy is not one size fits all! Together we will find what fits you. I utilizes multiple approaches, by taking a holistic approach of focusing on the mind, body, and spirit. I also use mindfulness and body awareness to help you feel more grounded and whole. As a 21 year veteran of the Air Force I know how difficult it can be to ask for help. I also know that asking for help can be a sign of strength. If you’re dealing with life transitions, relationship difficulties, work difficulties, school issues, anxiety and/or other mood disorders there’s no better time to start feeling better than today. You’ve taken the first step by seeking help; let’s take the second step together, let’s talk.
My clinical style is genuine, client centered and collaborative. In addition to my qualifications as a counselor, I have a degree in Health Education with a Certification in Nutrition. I work with clients on starting and continuing their journey to a healthier mind and body. Together we will take a look at your emotional and or physical struggles and decide together what path to take. I provide in-person and Telehealth services.
I have an eclectic style of treatment approach, because one size does not fit all. I utilize multiple techniques and modalities for example; breathing based techniques, guided imagery, homework assignments, role playing, journaling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused and Motivational Interviewing amongst others.
I work well with children 8 years and above and adults who struggle with life's stressors (i.e. difficulty focusing, anger issues, impulsivity, anxiety, past trauma, unexplained medical illnesses, interpersonal/relationship issues, work/school stress). I strongly value personal and professional development and am continuously seeking to expand my therapeutic skills and areas of expertise, through ongoing trainings.
