My objective is to help people gain insight and live more peaceful lives and I believe all people have strength and resilience within them and I will work to assist you in finding yours. I have a Master's degree in Counseling from California State University Los Angeles, specializing in school-based family counseling and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I work with individuals to help them function better within the complex systems of family and society. I have experience working as a psychiatric social worker with a diverse spectrum of people struggling with issues ranging from acute psychotic episodes to addiction, depression, and anxiety. I am trained in EMDR.
In our first session we will have brief introductions before we dive into a further exploration of the issues you are struggling with. From there we will discuss treatment goals and develop a plan to move forward.
I feel that my biggest strength is that I am not a "cookie cutter" therapist and that is typically what I hear from my clients as something that they enjoy about working with me. I will ask tough questions when necessary and reflect observations in a supportive way.
We often have times in life that we feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious. My ideal client is someone that is eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make that goal a reality.

I've been working with Natalie for over a year now. I had trouble finding a therapist that clicked with me, until I met Natalie. She has been very helpful to me over the past year. Our sessions help me to be positive about big changes, and work on things to help me work through moments that are challenging in my daily life. My anxiety has been more manageable, and my overall mood and ability to cope with challenges has improved.
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) because it is a highly effective, evidence-based approach that helps clients process and heal from past trauma by targeting distressing memories and reducing their emotional intensity. By utilizing bilateral stimulation, EMDR allows clients to reprocess painful experiences in a safe and structured way, promoting relief from symptoms and fostering long-term emotional resilience.
I use an eclectic approach to therapy because every client is unique, and integrating techniques from various therapeutic modalities allows me to tailor treatment to their specific needs, strengths, and goals. By drawing from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness, I create a flexible and personalized framework that supports lasting growth and healing.
