Hello! I’m a therapist who helps people navigate the pressures, transitions, and emotional challenges that show up across different seasons of life. Whether you’re feeling weighed down by anxiety or depression, carrying the effects of past experiences, or simply feeling overwhelmed by daily stress, I offer a thoughtful, structured, and supportive approach to help you regain clarity and momentum. My clinical background includes training in fast-paced, high-expectation environments where providing effective, evidence-based care was essential. I completed my graduate training with a strong academic foundation and a rigorous clinical internship focused on delivering high-quality mental health treatment. In my work, I draw from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based skills to help clients better understand their patterns, build practical coping tools, and move toward meaningful change. All of my experience as a clinician was gained while serving on active duty in the U.S. Army, including work as a Behavioral Health Officer in a high-stress operational setting. While this gave me a deep understanding of performance pressure, burnout, and work-life balance, my approach is not limited to military-specific concerns. The skills I developed translate naturally to working with civilians navigating demanding careers, relationship challenges, and the emotional toll of modern life. Above all, I strive to create a space that feels approachable, collaborative, and grounded—where you can feel comfortable being yourself while doing meaningful work.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, we will focus on creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and supported. Our primary goal is for us to get to know each other, explore what brings you to therapy, and begin building a strong collaborative partnership. Together, we will: • Identify your specific challenges and how they currently impact your daily life. • Establish meaningful, personalized goals, such as developing new coping skills, managing distress, or processing past trauma. • Draft an initial plan of action that incorporates evidence-based tools tailored to your unique needs. By the end of our first meeting, my aim is for you to leave with a clear understanding of our path forward and a sense of hope and direction for your healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create an environment that feels both professional and genuinely human. Clients often describe me as personable, easy to talk to, and someone who brings a natural sense of humor into the room when appropriate. I believe therapy works best when clients feel comfortable, understood, and able to show up as themselves—without fear of judgment or pressure to perform. Clinically, I bring a strong foundation in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based approaches. I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, I tailor interventions to each client’s needs, goals, and pace. I value helping clients understand the “why” behind their experiences while also focusing on practical strategies they can apply in daily life. My background working in high-stress environments has given me a deep appreciation for the impact that pressure, responsibility, and constant demands can have on mental health. I am especially skilled at helping clients navigate burnout, work-life balance, and career-related stress, as well as the emotional challenges that arise when personal and professional roles collide. I also have extensive experience helping clients improve their relationships—with romantic partners, friends, coworkers, and peers. This includes supporting clients in developing healthier communication patterns, setting boundaries, managing conflict, and breaking unhelpful relational cycles. Overall, my strength lies in blending structure with flexibility, and evidence-based care with genuine connection. I aim to help clients feel both supported and empowered—equipped with insight, skills, and confidence to move forward in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with individuals who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the version of themselves they want to be. Many of my ideal clients are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or the cumulative effects of prolonged stress. They may appear “high-functioning” on the outside while feeling exhausted, tense, or emotionally drained on the inside. My clients often describe feeling caught in cycles of overthinking, self-criticism, or emotional avoidance. Some struggle with lingering effects of past experiences—whether a specific traumatic event or ongoing relational stress—that continue to shape how they see themselves, others, or the world. Others come in feeling burned out by work demands, questioning their career direction, or trying to balance professional expectations with personal relationships and well-being. I work well with clients who are curious about themselves and open to developing insight, even if they feel unsure about where to start. You don’t need to have everything figured out or be “good at therapy.” If you’re willing to reflect, try new tools, and engage honestly in the process, we can work together effectively. I also connect well with people who appreciate a therapist who is direct, approachable, and able to bring both structure and warmth into sessions. In addition to individual mental health concerns, I frequently work with clients navigating relationship challenges—romantic relationships, friendships, workplace dynamics, and peer relationships. This might include difficulties with communication, boundaries, trust, conflict, or feeling misunderstood by others. While I have experience supporting individuals in high-stress and high-responsibility roles, my ideal client does not need to work in a particular field or come from a specific background. I enjoy working with adults from diverse walks of life who want to better understand themselves, reduce emotional distress, and build a life that feels more balanced, intentional, and fulfilling.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve helped many people using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I’m confident I can help you too. CBT is a structured form of talk therapy that focuses on the connection between you and your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The core idea is that how we think about a situation (our perspective) directly influences how we feel and what we do. Along the way, we’ll focus on skill building to manage stress and improve your mood, identify unhelpful thoughts, challenge these unhelpful thoughts, and change harmful or unhelpful habits with healthier ones.

EMDR

With several years of specialized experience, I have successfully partnered with individuals navigating the complexities of PTSD and deep-seated trauma. My background includes supporting survivors of combat trauma and the profound loss of a loved one, as well as those carrying the heavy burden of guilt and moral injury. How EMDR Works (Simply Put) When we experience a traumatic event, the brain sometimes "misplaces" the memory, storing it in a way that keeps the emotional distress feeling very much alive in the present. EMDR is a structured therapy that helps your brain resume its natural healing process. Think of it like clearing a mental "blockage." By using bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements or tapping), we help the brain reprocess these stuck memories. The goal isn’t to forget what happened, but to transform the memory so it no longer carries a painful emotional charge. Virtual Care I provide these sessions entirely via telehealth. Using secure, specialized virtual tools, we can effectively engage in the EMDR process from the safety and comfort of your own home—a space where many clients find it easiest to do this transformative work.
