After more than 20 years of working with children and families in the school system, I now offer my services virtually in order to reach and support more people. Over the years, my work has expanded to include concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief, stress management, life transitions, self-esteem, and other challenges that impact daily life. Navigating family and personal relationships is also a central focus of my therapy. My approach is creative, engaging, and intentionally different from traditional talk therapy. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, empowered, and gently challenged to grow. Incorporating music, humor, and interactive activities can help reduce stress and make it easier to open up about difficult emotions. I understand that seeking help can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to foster meaningful change within a welcoming, supportive environment.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

From our first session together, you can expect to have goals to work towards and a clear plan to achieve your goals. You will feel comfortable and encouraged that change is possible and brighter days are ahead. More than anything I want you to feel supported and know that we will work together to overcome challenges. You're not on this journey alone.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to therapy is centered on helping each person feel empowered to take meaningful steps toward positive change in their own life. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we’ll work together at a pace that feels supportive and intentional. My role is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore challenges openly while also being encouraged - and gently challenged - to grow into your best self.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Overcoming life’s challenges takes perseverance. We all face difficulties—whether related to family dynamics, work, health, school, or other areas of life—and recognizing this reminds us that we are not alone. No matter your stage of life—single or partnered, raising children at home or supporting them from afar, working or retired—you do not have to face these challenges on your own. Together, we will work toward creating positive and meaningful changes in your life.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

My goal is to help clients experience a sense of success—even a small one—after the first session. This may look like finding more joy in daily life or experiencing less conflict in relationships. While fully achieving a client’s goals may take time, often over several months, counseling focuses on making steady progress toward those goals. By using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, clients are supported in moving meaningfully toward their desired outcomes.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Changing our behaviors requires challenging the ways we think about people, circumstances, our past, and our future. Talking through situations helps clients gain new perspectives and better understand the motivations behind their actions. By shifting how a problem is viewed, it becomes more manageable—and ultimately easier to overcome.

Christian Counseling

Faith can have a profound influence on beliefs and actions. I encourage clients to draw upon their own belief systems to find meaning and purpose in their lives and to help guide future choices.

Family Therapy

With over 20 years of experience working with children and parents, I have successfully supported a wide range of family dynamics. While every family is unique, these relationships are deeply valuable and can be strengthened through patience, collaboration, and a shared willingness to understand how each family functions best together.
