When choosing a therapist it is important to select someone with whom you feel a sense of trust, safety and connection. Early life experiences and relationships can significantly impact how we view ourselves, how we are in relationships and how we experience the world around us. We often develop unproductive behavior and thoughts, yet don't have the skills or understanding to create a desired change. I have been a licensed therapist for over 22 years, working in a variety of settings such as private practice, non-profit agencies, women's shelters, and Kaiser. Everyone enters therapy with different goals and needs. Therapy allows for the opportunity to explore ways to navigate history and current challenges to create the life and person you wish to be.
Our first session will be getting to know each other, make sure you feel comfortable with my style, and exploring your goals for therapy.
I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Psychoeducational techniques and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) to name a few.
My biggest strength is connecting with clients and exploring with them the vision and possibility for change to create a sense of peace and fulfillment.
