LP, 2 years of experience
My name is Dr. Omid Azadi and I provide individual psychotherapy for adolescents and adults, as well as couple and family therapy. I support my clients through a unique synthesis of western psychology and eastern philosophy that blends the knowledge of the mind with the intuitive wisdom of the heart. Helping others reach their own liberation and truth is more than an occupation for me, it is my purpose. From my own personal journey, I have come to understand the joy and fulfillment that is experienced when one celebrates who they truly are inside.
I understand the vulnerability and courage it can take to address difficult problems and psychiatric symptoms. I approach my work with great empathy and respect for the vulnerability of the client. I deeply value the working alliance and I am committed to providing a warm, accepting environment that allows you the safety to explore the truth of your being.
My authenticity, unconditional acceptance, and empathetic nature allows clients to step into a trusting therapeutic relationship where they feel safe to explore their true-self.
My main areas of expertise include relationship difficulties (including narcissistic and codependent styles), post-traumatic stress and complex trauma, mood disorders, substance use and behavioral addictions, spiritual and existential crises, adjustment and life-transition issues, adolescent development, parent-teen conflict, and grief.

Omid is very understanding of my situation and my needs. i feel like i hit the jackpot with him as a provider because my situation is unique, or at least it is to me, but he seems to understand me and is non-judgmental. Omid has helped me process some really difficult things and i feel he has gone out of his way to be there for me as a provider, which i am very grateful for.

I’ve seen 2 other therapists, I think Omid is truly the best one! He’s been helping guide me in my life choices. Hes a great listener and very empathetic.
When utilizing a humanistic approach, I place attention on the client’s own perception of difficulties, goals, and treatment directions. Rather than only assessing dysfunction, I take into account the role the client’s strengths can play in reaching their full-actualized potential. Furthermore, I explore the conditions of worth internalized by the client. Through this understanding, I am able to conceptualize how these conditions have disabled the client from being able to express their authentic-self. It is my goal to create a therapeutic alliance that allows clients the safety to explore their true feelings, thoughts and emotions. Through this exploration, the client is able to become self-aware of how they have denied or distorted parts of their true self and thus, begin to develop a self-concept that is more congruent with who they really are inside.
