Welcome! I hold a BA in Psychology with a minor in Music from Saint Leo University. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018. Since receiving my masters degree, I've worked in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and the Department of Juvenile Justice residential programs working with children and adolescents. I've obtained my licensure in mental health counseling in 2024. I believe in making my clients feel comfortable by spreading positivity as well as humor in sessions. My approach to therapy consists of cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy. I will tailor a treatment plan based on the client's specific needs.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Additionally, in the first session, my goal is to know more about what you would want to gain from counseling and answer any questions that you may have. This is the time to determine if my approach/style is suitable for your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with young adolescents for 6 years, my main focus has always been to create a safe space for the both of us and to ensure that you are as comfortable as possible.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with adolescents who are struggling with emotional regulation, such as anger, anxiety, and depression. Sometimes, adolescents struggle with controlling their emotions and often express themselves in different ways they deemed appropriate. My clients are eager to learn appropriate ways to express themselves by utilizing newfound coping skills. My clients are eager to change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've been using CBT the majority of my experience while also tapping into solution focused therapy at times. CBT is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes affect your feelings and behaviors. The goal of CBT is to help individuals identify and change these patterns to improve their emotional well-being.
