New to Grow
Clients are invited to review my profile to understand who I am, what I carry, and the heart behind the work I do. I am a Christian counselor with a deep calling to walk alongside individuals who are seeking healing, clarity, and meaningful growth. My background includes six years of service in Madrid, Spain, where I developed a profound respect for people’s stories, resilience, and the ways God is present and at work even in the most difficult circumstances. The word "bastante”—meaning “enough” or “sufficient”—captures something important in how I see life and healing: God is enough, and through Him, we are invited into a process of becoming whole. My heart and soul are rooted in helping people move forward in the areas where they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure. I work with individuals who desire not only support, but also deeper understanding: those who are willing to engage in the process of growth and explore the connections between their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and spiritual life. I believe that healing is not only emotional or cognitive, but also deeply spiritual, and I value the role of the Holy Spirit in guiding, revealing truth, and bringing transformation. I bring a compassionate, grounded, and collaborative approach to counseling, creating space for individuals to feel seen, heard, and supported. My desire is to help you uncover patterns, strengthen your sense of identity, and move toward the life God has designed for you. I see counseling as a sacred space where healing, truth, and hope intersect, and it is a privilege to walk with each person in that journey.
The first session is a unique and important part of the counseling process. Therapy is deeply personal, and the relationship between counselor and client plays a significant role in the potential for healing and restoration. Because of this, our initial session is intentionally focused on getting to know one another. We will take time to explore your story, discuss what brings you to counseling, and ask meaningful questions to better understand your needs, goals, and hopes for the process. This session also provides an opportunity to determine whether we are a good fit for working together. I value a collaborative and engaged approach to therapy, and I want you to feel comfortable and supported as we begin this journey. Throughout the session, I will listen carefully and begin to identify patterns, strengths, and areas where you may want support moving forward. At the end of our first session, you will typically leave with one focused area to reflect on or work through before our next appointment. This helps create a sense of direction and allows us to begin building momentum in your growth and healing process. As a Christian counselor, I hold a deep belief that while I do not have the power to change someone, God does. My role is to come alongside you as a tool in the process of restoration, helping you explore your thoughts, experiences, and spiritual life. I invite the work of the Holy Spirit into this process, trusting Him to guide, reveal truth, and bring lasting transformation. This first session is the beginning of a journey toward greater clarity, healing, and wholeness.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is that I see counseling as deeply personal and relational, where the connection between counselor and client is central to the process of healing and restoration. I take time to truly understand each person’s story, while also helping to gently uncover patterns, strengths, and areas where growth is needed. My approach is compassionate, steady, and collaborative, creating space for people to feel seen, heard, and supported. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with a strengths-based perspective that helps individuals recognize both their capacity and the ways God is already at work in their lives. At the same time, my heart is to integrate a Christian worldview into the counseling process for those who desire it, inviting the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit as we walk through healing together. I believe there are deeper connections to be discovered—between thoughts, emotions, experiences, and our spiritual life—and that these connections can lead to meaningful and lasting change. What often stands out in the results is not just symptom relief, but movement—forward progress in clarity, identity, and self-worth. Clients begin to experience a deeper sense of grounding and alignment as they grow in understanding themselves and their relationship with God. I hold a firm belief that I am not the one who brings about change—God is. My role is to be a tool He uses in the process of restoration and healing. It is a privilege to walk alongside individuals as they move forward in the areas where they feel stuck, helping them engage the process and experience the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
I am best positioned to serve individuals who are navigating life transitions and seeking deeper clarity, healing, and purposes, especially middle and high school students, as well as adult men and women who desire to integrate their faith into the counseling process. Many of my clients come in feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected from their sense of identity and self-worth. They may be facing challenges such as anxiety, relational struggles, changing family dynamics, or significant transitions in life roles, and they are often looking for more than symptom relief, they are longing for meaning, direction, and lasting change. I work best with those who are willing and ready to actively engage in the counseling process and take intentional steps toward growth, including those who desire to invite God and the work of the Holy Spirit into their healing journey. With adolescents, I provide a supportive space to process the pressures they face in school, friendships, and identity development, helping them build confidence, emotional awareness, and healthy coping skills. With adults, I often walk alongside those in seasons of transition—whether in relationships, career, health, or personal direction—helping them navigate uncertainty while strengthening their sense of self and stability. A central focus in my work is helping clients understand their inherent value, moving from patterns of self-doubt, shame, or striving into a more grounded and secure sense of worth. For those who desire it, I thoughtfully integrate a Christian faith perspective, helping clients explore truth, identity, and healing through a biblical lens. My approach is compassionate, steady, and collaborative, creating a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow toward greater emotional health, spiritual alignment, and a renewed sense of purpose in their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. As we identify patterns that may be contributing to distress, we work to replace them with truth, both psychologically sound and, when desired, grounded in biblical principles. This approach supports renewed thinking, emotional healing, and lasting change.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I offer a person-centered approach, creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you are deeply heard and valued. I believe true healing happens in the context of authentic relationship, reflecting the care, compassion, and unconditional love of Christ.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use a solution-focused approach to help clients identify strengths, build on what is already working, and move toward meaningful goals. This encourages hope and forward movement, grounded in the belief that growth and change are always possible.
Psychoeducation
I provide practical tools and education to help clients better understand their emotions, patterns, and responses. This empowers clients to grow in awareness, wisdom, and intentional living, aligning mind and heart with truth.
Strength-Based
I take a strengths-based approach by helping clients recognize and build upon the resilience, abilities, and resources they already possess. Rather than focusing only on problems, we identify where God has already been at work, using those strengths as a foundation for growth, healing, and renewed confidence.
