We’ll use a whole-self approach to help find a sense of balance and harmony in your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Specialties: Stress Management; Self-Confidence, Self-Esteem; Sports Psychology (performance enhancement, focus, motivation, fear of failure); Life transitions & adjustments; Anxiety/Depression; Goal setting & accountability; College counseling; LGBTQIA+; Life Coaching (personal growth/wellness) Therapy can be a gift you give yourself -- an opportunity to explore challenges in a safe space, to pursue personal growth, specific goals, or overall mental fitness. Think of it like going to the gym! (Feeling unmotivated to go to the gym? I can help you with that too 😊)

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we'll introduce ourselves, talk about what brings you to counseling at this time in your life, gather some general background information, and make a plan to move forward toward your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

For over 20 years, I have helped adolescents, young adults, and adults overcome challenges and reach their full potential in many areas: school, college, sports, social, career, family, and health. My background and experiences in teaching, athletics/coaching, wellness, and health promotion enhance my therapy with individuals. As a former two-sport college athlete and member of the U.S. women’s lacrosse team with a master’s degree in sports psychology, I enjoy helping athletes of all levels to succeed on and off the field. When not counseling, coaching, or consulting, I spend my time hiking, biking, kayaking, and relaxing in the mountains, beaches, and rivers of Virginia and beyond.
