LICSW, 4 years of experience
New to Grow
Throughout life, we all experience some form of trauma, and I was no exception. Adversity often felt like my middle name. One of the most impactful influences in my teenage years was my school counselor, who truly “understood the misunderstood” and with whom I still keep in touch more than 25 years later. My passion for psychology has stayed strong throughout my life—whether evidence-based or holistic, I’m eager to learn it, apply it, and share it with others. I believe my purpose is to support people through both my knowledge and my personal experiences. I am grateful for the trust parents place in me to support their children and teens who feel unheard or misunderstood, as well as adults who feel lost or broken on their journey. Life is not always an easy path—but you don’t have to walk it alone. Let’s take the journey together.
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and creating a safe, comfortable space for you to share what’s been going on in your life. I’ll ask questions to understand your concerns, your goals for therapy, and what’s most important to you. We’ll talk about how therapy works, answer any questions you have, and begin setting a plan that feels manageable and supportive. You can expect a pace that meets you where you are—no pressure, no judgment, just a genuine conversation to start your healing journey.
What makes my approach unique is how I blend evidence-based techniques with a compassionate, individualized style. I draw from methods like CBT, TF-CBT, and Applied Metapsychology to address both current challenges and the deeper root causes behind them. I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel truly heard and understood. My clients often share that they leave sessions with practical tools they can use right away, a clearer understanding of themselves, and a renewed sense of hope for the future.
I work best with children, teens, and adults who feel unheard, misunderstood, or stuck—whether due to anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, life transitions, or self-esteem challenges. My clients are often seeking a safe, nonjudgmental space to process their experiences, build coping skills, and rediscover their sense of strength, purpose, and hope.
Applied Metapsychology is a way we can work through past experiences that are still bothering you or affecting how you feel and act today. We’ll go back to those memories in a safe, structured way so you can fully process them. Instead of just talking about the event, we help your mind go through it step-by-step until it no longer feels as upsetting or overwhelming. The goal is to take the emotional ‘charge’ out of those memories so they stop causing distress, and you can feel more at peace and in control.
CBT is a type of therapy that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. We’ll look at unhelpful thoughts that might be making you feel worse and practice ways to challenge or change them. By doing this, you can learn new ways to cope, feel better, and handle situations differently.
TF-CBT is a type of therapy designed to help children and teens recover from traumatic experiences. It combines education about trauma, coping skills, and gradual processing of difficult memories in a safe, supportive way. We also involve you as the parent, so you can learn strategies to support your child, respond to their needs, and help them feel safe and understood.
