Welcome! I am so grateful you found yourself here. My name is Alissa and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Beginning therapy can be a stressful experience and I am here to help make our time together a healing and transformative journey. I have a background in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, women's issues, and men's issues. Most recently, I have completed courses to become certified in treating personality disorders.
In our first session I will ask you questions to get a better understanding as to why you are seeking treatment at this time in your life. What symptoms are you experiencing and what goals would you like to work on in treatment?
I use a lot of psychoeducation in my treatment process because I believe in strengthening your understanding of your own mental health. I draw from a cognitive behavioral therapy and solution-focused modality with a strong base in empathy and validation.
I do have a passion for helping young adults trying to discover their identity as well as helping mothers navigate post-partum life and all that it brings.
I feel honored in helping clients start their healing from traumatic experiences. Currently, my caseload is full for couple's sessions, so I am only accepting individual sessions.
