I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with 25 years experience providing assessment services and psychotherapy to a wide range of clients with a variety of presenting problems (licensed in California and Oregon). I specialize in conducting individual therapy with clients who are seeking to understand and change entrenched patterns underlying their mental health symptoms, unfulfilling relationships, and poor academic and occupational performance.
We'll spend our first session exploring your reasons for seeking therapy and talk about what you'd like to gain from the experience. We'll discuss the therapeutic process and you'll be encouraged to ask questions and express any concerns you might have.
As an experienced, curious, empathic, and non-judgmental therapist, I'm able to create a safe environment in which my clients feel heard and valued, and are able to access and process difficult emotions, gain self-awareness, and acquire and implement the skills necessary attain symptom relief and sustained change.
I enjoy working with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depressive, and trauma-related symptoms who are willing to self-reflect and process difficult emotions in order to make deep, meaningful, and lasting changes.
Over the course of my 25 years as a clinical psychologist I’ve learned to integrate psychodynamic therapy with other therapeutic approaches such as CBT, relational therapy, and attachment theory to create personalized treatment plans that provide symptom relief and resolve deeper, longstanding psychological issues. In integrating insight-oriented and action-oriented approaches, I strive to foster a strong therapeutic relationship and create a safe environment that allows you to explore past experiences and understand the emotional roots of your distress. We will then devise practical strategies to help you change longstanding self-defeating patterns, cultivate rewarding relationships and promote long-term psychological growth.
