New to Grow
Seeing individuals struggle with anxiety, depression, and other forms of mental illness from an early age led me to the path of psychology. The fascination of talk therapy and its benefits inspired me to become a Mental Health Therapist. I graduated from Wayne State University in 2001. My therapeutic background includes residential facilities, hospital settings, outpatient therapy, and private practice.
The decision to seek therapy is a courageous step towards emotional well-being and improving mental health. I strive to create a non-judgmental and supportive partnership with everyone I see. Therapy can be a safe place where the more difficult things in life are explored and allow the space to heal. I have experience with those struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship challenges in the family, work, and school environments, self-esteem issues, the effects of trauma, domestic violence, abuse, and stress. I use a psychodynamic approach, which processes early childhood and the effects of theory on behavior and mental states, and how that affects our present behavior, along with a person-centered approach. I am also an Accelerated Resolution Therapist (ART) practitioner which is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy that utilizes back-and-forth eye movements to help clients address common problems such as depression, anxiety, phobias, and PTSD. ART is a very focused eye movement therapy that has produced quick, effective, and safe results in treating anxiety, depression, phobias, relationship issues, and grief. I work with the adult population for individual therapy. I offer in-person and Telehealth. I am open to finding the appropriate therapist for you if my therapy style does not fit your needs. I enjoy my work and appreciate the opportunity to work with you. Feel free to contact me to see if we are a good fit.
In my practice, I draw on evidence-based therapies, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and EMDR, to help clients move through trauma, anxiety, phobias, and other challenges effectively and safely. My approach is open-minded and compassionate, always honoring your unique story and the importance of your relationships—with yourself and with others.
I bring a compassionate, seasoned perspective to the therapeutic process to support those who suffer from depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship and family challenges, and other life stressors. I also provide short term therapy for those wanting quick relief for major issues if appropriate. Together, we can create space for healing and growth so you can step fully into the life you know you’re meant to live.

Compassion Focused
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) is a therapeutic approach that helps individuals develop self-compassion and reduce self-criticism, shame, and harsh self-judgment. It is based on the idea that many emotional struggles stem from an overactive threat system and an underdeveloped soothing system, often shaped by early life experiences. Through mindfulness, compassionate imagery, and behavioral exercises, clients learn to respond to themselves with greater kindness, emotional balance, and resilience.
