What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with a brief introduction, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions. Intake appointments made with less than 48 hours notice will be automatically cancelled. Note: I do not prescribe benzodiazepines. Also, I do not prescribe stimulants (Adderall, Ritalin, Vyvanse, Concerta) without proper documentation of a prior diagnosis of ADHD.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Helping individuals understand the mechanism of action of psychotropic intervention and the benefits of therapy. With many years of experience in the inpatient setting, I will give you the tools to limit inpatient admissions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness. Numerous research studies suggest that CBT leads to significant improvement in functioning and quality of life. In many studies, CBT has been demonstrated to be as effective as, or more effective than, other forms of psychological therapy or psychiatric medications. We use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help individuals cope with the problems listed above.
