Aly Quinones
Life can be challenging, and therapy doesn't have to be a place where you simply vent while still feeling stuck. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, and perfectionism. My approach is supportive, honest, and goal-oriented. Together, we'll identify what's getting in the way and focus on practical, meaningful changes that help you move forward.
First session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. We'll talk about your goals, current challenges, and any questions you may have about the process. My approach is relaxed and conversational, and there is no pressure to have everything figured out. The goal is simply to understand where you are, where you'd like to be and how we can work together to get there.
Strengths
I believe therapy works best when clients feel both supported and challenged. I bring a calm, straightforward approach and help clients identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck. I take a practical, down-to-earth approach to therapy. While I value insight and self-understanding, I also believe therapy should help you create meaningful change in your day-to-day life.
Ideal clients
I work best with adults navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, life transitions, relationship challenges, and issues related to self-esteem. Many of my clients are professionals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the life they want to be living. Put simply: therapy for people who find themselves always there for others and are tired of holding it together. Together, we build insight, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful change that aligns with their values and goals.
Treatment methods
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help clients respond to stress, anxiety, and difficult emotions with greater self-compassion and flexibility. Together, we focus on what matters most to you and take meaningful steps toward the life you want to create.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives and work collaboratively to foster growth, insight, and self-acceptance.
Attachment-based
I help clients explore how past and present relationships influence the way they relate to themselves and others. By increasing awareness of attachment patterns, we can work toward more secure, fulfilling relationships and greater emotional resilience.
