Hello, I'm Aleta, Welcome — I’m glad you’re here. Life can feel overwhelming at times. When stressors from home, work, school, or relationships begin to weigh heavily, it’s easy to feel lost, anxious, or discouraged. If you’re navigating challenges that feel too big to manage on your own, you don’t have to face them alone. As a therapist, I offer a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, gain insight into yourself and your relationships, and begin building the skills needed to move forward with confidence. Together, we will identify your goals and work collaboratively to create meaningful strategies that support your overall well-being, productivity, and daily functioning. Seeking therapy takes courage, and the process can feel intimidating — but it can also be deeply rewarding and transformative. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable or uncertain, so I approach this session with gentleness, openness, and curiosity. During our time together, I will: -Learn about you — We’ll explore what brings you to therapy, what challenges you’re facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You’re welcome to share at your own pace; there is no pressure to disclose more than you feel ready for. -Discuss your history and current concerns — I may ask questions about your background, relationships, and daily experiences to better understand the context of your life and the factors influencing your well-being. -Clarify your goals — We’ll identify the goals you want to work toward so that our sessions are meaningful and focused on what matters most to you. -Review the therapy process — I’ll explain how I work, what therapy might look like moving forward, and address any questions or concerns you may have about confidentiality, frequency of sessions, or the therapeutic approach. -Create a collaborative plan — Together, we’ll begin outlining initial steps and strategies to support you as you move toward healing, clarity, and improved functioning. The first session is not about “fixing” everything immediately — it’s about connection, understanding, and beginning a journey at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is to ensure you feel heard, supported, and grounded as we start this work together.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I employ an integrative approach to therapy that is tailored to the specific needs of the person. I use techniques from various evidence-based practices. The techniques that I employ are associated with CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and Solution-Focused. I also utilize assessment scales, questionnaires, worksheets and homework throughout the process of therapy.

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to your unique needs—helping you identify meaningful goals, build effective coping skills, and move toward greater clarity, resilience, and overall well-being.

Again, I will say Aleta’s profile and background brought me to schedule my first appointment with her and I agave not been disappointed. Aleta’s holistic approach speaks to mind, body and Spirit man being made well and healed. I have been empowered to stand, rooted and grounded in my Faith and To Fight with All of My God Given Tools. She takes time and listens as she guides me through different levels of understanding how to deal with stress, anxiety and/or depression , etc,. I am grateful!
