I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician in North Carolina. My current clients would describe therapy with me as navigating through issues with a close confidante. I promise to create a safe space where you can express your thoughts and feelings openly. If you would like to take positive steps towards something that you have been struggling with, I am here to walk with you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together I will get to know more about you, and you may feel free to ask any questions that you may have. We will get a sense of things you would like to work on in therapy and touch on any immediate symptoms of concern.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a provider Is meeting people where they are. I encourage authenticity because I believe that when you are open and honest about where you are it makes it easier to create the path for where you want to go. I create a space to explore thoughts and feelings freely and I encourage customized coping skills and techniques for the individual.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I like to work with clients on general & social anxiety, PTSD, self-esteem issues, relationship issues with family, friends, and romantic partners, intimacy issues, stress reduction and numerous life transitions. If you are ready for overall improvement and positive life changes, I am here to help you achieve it.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is used to develop new coping mechanisms for dealing with difficult situations and improving emotional regulation. In session we will address current thoughts and behaviors & explore how they are helping/hurting the way you desire to live your life.

Motivational Interviewing

MI supports a sense of self-efficacy and empowers people to make their own decisions about change. MI can help to develop a stronger desire to change by exploring your own reasons which can help you to sustain positive changes over time.

Strength-Based

Focuses on a your internal strengths, resources, and positive qualities rather than on weaknesses or deficits. It aims to empower clients by identifying and building on what is already working in your life which creates resilience and promotes positive change. I enjoy helping people through the process of self empowerment.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

With SFBT we will work together to set achievable goals that move you closer to your desired outcomes.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

This method focuses on the individual's capacity for self-discovery and growth. This where the therapist creates a supportive and empathetic environment for the client to explore their thoughts and feelings.
