Hi there! I'm India I'm so happy you are choosing the path to wellness! Learning how to heal and be kind to your mind can be a difficult task but I'm here to help. Have you ever felt that life is pulling you in every direction possible; between work, relationships, friendships, and parenting and you're struggling to keep your head above water to breathe? I can help you understand what anxiety symptoms look like in the physical form, and together we can help identify your triggers, formulate a plan to balance it all and discuss medication management. Are you self-isolating? Neglecting yourself? Have you noticed that you cry more so than not? Are you having trouble sleeping? Depression may show up differently for everyone, but the aching pain that it delivers is the same. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar symptoms, or issues sleeping, I'm here to help you learn what's going on in your body and mind, create a safe space to communicate your feelings and provide medication options. Let's work together to create a happier you!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During our first session, I will learn more about who you are. I will ask questions related to your everyday life, including work, home, social etc. We will identify your symptoms, discuss diagnosis if needed and formulate an individualized plan. That plan may include medication management and necessary follow-ups. During follow-ups, this gives us a better chance to work together. You can let me know if our initial plan works or if there is anything that needs to be changed. This also gives you a chance to give me any information that was not given on the first visit. We will also discuss progression and/or any new issues that possibly need to be treated.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I utilize various questionnaires and assessment techniques to scale the intensity of your symptoms and to aid in a precise diagnosis. PHQ-9, BDI, HAM-D, GAD-7, and HAM-A are just a few that helps give me an idea of where you start and your progression. ****Unfortunately if needing medication management for ADHD with stimulants such as Adderall, nurse practitioners in the state of GA can not prescribe this type of medication, however, we can prescribe non-stimulants.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My goal is to not only treat your symptoms with medication but to also make you feel comfortable speaking about your mental health. My niche is listening, assessing your speech, body language and mood while discussing certain topics. My strength is education. I help my patients learn what they are feeling, why they are feeling it and what can possibly help.
