First session
Expect a comprehensive 45-to-60-minute evaluation focused on your mental health and medical history, rather than a quick check-in. I will ask detailed questions about your current symptoms, daily life, past psychiatric treatments, and family history to understand your unique situation and create a collaborative treatment plan.
Strengths
I bring a collaborative, evidence-based, and strength-oriented approach to our sessions. My core abilities include providing psychoeducation, guiding goal-setting, teaching emotional regulation, and offering practical tools to process your experiences
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In clinical psychiatry, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an active, structured, and goal-directed intervention built on the principle that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. I utilize CBT either as a standalone treatment or synergistically alongside pharmacotherapy to help patients recognize and modify maladaptive cognitive patterns.
