LMHC, 15 years of experience
I’m a seasoned therapist with extensive experience supporting children, teens, and parents across school, community mental health, and addiction treatment settings. My approach is grounded in years of helping individuals, families, and groups navigate life’s challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. I specialize in helping young people (ages 10–21) better understand themselves, identify their needs, and build practical skills that support emotional well-being, confidence, and resilience. My work emphasizes addiction prevention and empowering youth to navigate life’s challenges with greater self-awareness and balance. Many of the young people I work with have been diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, or depression, and may struggle with self-esteem, peer relationships, or challenges at school and home. Together, we set meaningful treatment goals and work toward creating lasting, positive change in their daily lives. While much of my work focuses on youth, I also work with parents navigating the transitions of parenthood, supporting children with mental health or neurodevelopmental diagnoses (such as ADHD), and addressing the impact of trauma or substance use within the family system.
I like to tell new patients to think of the first session as a job interview, only you’re the one doing the interviewing. The goal is for you (and/or your child) to get a sense of whether I’m the right fit. Do I feel like someone who can be helpful? Do you feel comfortable with me? While I’ll ask questions to learn more about you and your goals, you’re really in the driver’s seat, using that time to get a clear understanding of who I am, how I work, and whether this feels like the right match for you.
After years of working with children, teens, and adults, I’ve found my greatest strength lies in meeting people exactly where they are. I focus on building a relationship grounded in trust and collaboration, so together we can work toward the goals that matter most to you.
I specialize in supporting tweens and teens through the ups and downs of this stage of life, including school and home stress, shifting friendships and relationships, and challenges related to ADHD, anxiety, and depression. My goal is to equip every young person and their family with the tools and support they need to feel healthier, happier, and more confident in facing whatever comes their way. Ideal for students who need that little extra support away from school-based supports. For younger children and those whom are not able to participate in the therapeutic process, I also work with parents to better understand their child and their behaviors, provide support around the diagnostic process (ADHD and other mental health diagnoses), increase parenting skills and the parent-child relationship and develop a foundation of support and wellbeing for both parent and child.
My approach to counseling is shaped by years of experience supporting individuals, families, and groups in schools, as well as in mental health and addiction treatment settings. I specialize in helping young people understand themselves, identify their needs, and build practical skills for success—with a particular focus on addiction prevention.
