I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I have experience in helping individuals with Anxiety, Depression, Grief/Loss and Life Transitions. At the beginning of my career I worked closely with older adults and their families to navigate loss, grief, medical diagnosis, family issues and adjusting to new caregiving roles. More recently, I have been working closely with individuals with anxiety disorders (such as social anxiety, panic attacks, and obsessive compulsive behaviors) and depression. I have always enjoyed working with individuals on a one-on-one level to improve coping skills and their overall well-being.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
My greatest strength is my ability to listen to your needs and work collaboratively to meet your goals. My approach is person centered, trauma-informed and strength-based.
I enjoy working with those who are feeling anxious, depressed, or stressed due to life stressors or past trauma. I can help to process these events or simply providing a safe space to be heard without judgement. I also love working with older adults who may be experiencing grief and loss, loss of independence or caregiving issues.
I utilize CBT tools such as cognitive restructuring, exposure, and mindfulness.
