About me Hello! We all have moments and experiences when we seek support and guidance from those who have been there, and done that and perhaps more. We seek support from those who are considered experts regarding our needs. Well let me say, you have come to the right site and you, now have an opportunity to work with one of the most highly trained psychotherapists in the field of psychology. My name is Dr Patricia Bell, LMHC (License Mental health Counselor). I have a PsyD. in Counseling from a well-respected and accredited university. And I have more than fifteen years of experience in the field of Counseling and Psychotherapy. I’m confident that together we can work to help equip you with the necessary tools to help you whether you’re struggling with Relationships, Depression, Anger Management, Substance-related Issues, Anxiety, or Low Self-Esteem Issues, you must know you don’t have to be alone in this journey. I have the experience to help you achieve your goals, overcome these struggles, and live a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Personally, just a little bit about me. I come from a large family of 9 girls and 5 guys. I am married and have been for 44yrs. We have two children two girls and two guys. After twenty of marriage due to infidelity, I divorced my husband. Yet, after a year and a half, we reconciled and I remarried the same man. Today, we are 20+ on the other side. During my work process, I often incorporate techniques and ideas from other counselling modalities. However, my foundational reference to training comes from Cognitive therapy. Cognitive Therapy is a modality (therapy) which seeks to challenge and address negative self-thoughts and behaviours. All to dismantle and/or alter unwanted behaviours or mood patterns such as depression. My working experiences have included the very young to the most mature with age. I enjoy working with people. And I believe that you too are ready to begin your journey of change, as evidenced by you reaching out. This one act alone is a giant positive step in the right direction.
Hello! There are a few things that every client can expect to take away from engaging in therapy with me. (1.) Your Issues and concerns will be addressed (2.) Your personal goals will be established (3.) And lastly, as your supporter and your facilitator, I will be with you as you navigate your journey.
Again, I often incorporate evidence-based techniques and ideas from other Clinical approaches.
