New to Grow
Hi, I’m Marlenny, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to helping clients move from emotional overwhelm to clarity, confidence, and inner steadiness. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based care. I believe that therapy should feel like a safe space to breathe, explore, and rediscover your voice—not another place you have to perform or hold everything together. Over the years, I’ve helped clients navigate anxiety, self-doubt, burnout, and relationship stress by learning to pause, understand their emotions, and build skills that truly fit their lives. Whether you’re navigating a major life change or simply feel “stuck,” my goal is to meet you where you are and help you move toward a version of yourself that feels more grounded and self-assured.
Our first session is about slowing down and getting to know your story—not rushing into solutions, but understanding what’s been happening beneath the surface. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you hope will feel different, and what’s been getting in the way. By the end of our session, you’ll leave with a clearer sense of direction and a few tangible steps you can start practicing right away. You can expect a space that’s conversational, non-judgmental, and focused on your pace. We’ll discuss what therapy will look like for you and make sure the process feels both structured and flexible to meet your needs.
Clients often describe my style as calm, grounded, and genuinely caring. I help people feel seen, even in the moments they feel messy or uncertain. My greatest strength lies in helping clients connect the dots—between thoughts, emotions, and patterns—so they can respond to life more intentionally rather than reactively. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and solution-focused strategies, but I always tailor the process to your personality and goals. I value balance: practical tools for immediate relief, and deeper work that supports lasting change. Ultimately, I want therapy to feel like a space that reminds you of your strength—the part of you that’s still here, still trying, and more capable than you realize.
I work best with clients who are ready to look inward with honesty and courage—people who want to understand not only where they’ve been, but where they’re going. My clients are often in a season of reevaluating their lives: their choices, relationships, and the patterns that no longer serve them. They’re ready to connect the dots between their past experiences, their present habits, and the future self they want to become. Therapy with me is a collaborative process. I’m not here to hand you quick fixes or to “solve” your life for you—but to walk alongside you as you do the work of understanding yourself more deeply. Together, we’ll explore what’s been shaping your thoughts and decisions, practice being more present with your emotions, and learn how to move forward with intention and self-compassion. If you’re ready to engage in real self-reflection, to grow through awareness rather than avoidance, and to make lasting changes that align with who you truly are, I’d be honored to support you on that journey.
