I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Insightful Pathways LLC, where I provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for adults. I specialize in diagnosing and treating conditions such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia through medication management and supportive therapy. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered in their journey toward wellness.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, clients can expect a supportive, judgment-free conversation focused on understanding their concerns, history, and goals for treatment. I’ll ask questions about mental health symptoms, past experiences, medical background, and lifestyle to help form a comprehensive picture. Together, we’ll begin creating a personalized treatment plan—whether that includes medication, therapy, or both—with plenty of space for questions and collaboration. My goal is to make clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a provider include my ability to build trust quickly, listen with empathy, and approach each client with genuine compassion and curiosity. I strive to meet people where they are, tailoring treatment to their unique needs while balancing clinical insight with a human-centered approach. Clients often share that they feel seen, heard, and supported—especially during moments when they feel most vulnerable. I also stay committed to continued learning to ensure I'm offering the most effective, evidence-based care.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adults who are navigating challenges related to mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and depression. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood, and are seeking clarity, emotional stability, and support with managing daily life. I also work well with clients who may be new to mental health care and are looking for a respectful, nonjudgmental space to begin their healing process.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

I have experience using Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a collaborative and client-centered approach to support individuals struggling with ambivalence about change—particularly in areas such as substance use, medication adherence, and behavioral health goals. In my practice, I use MI to create a nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and respected. By using open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmations, I help patients explore their own motivations and values. Rather than directing or persuading, I guide conversations in a way that helps clients resolve ambivalence and strengthen their commitment to change. This method has been especially effective in supporting individuals who feel resistant, overwhelmed, or uncertain about next steps. I integrate MI techniques into ongoing care to promote autonomy, build therapeutic rapport, and enhance long-term engagement in treatment.

Compassion Focused

I incorporate principles of Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) to support patients who experience high levels of shame, self-criticism, and emotional distress—particularly those with trauma histories, mood disorders, or anxiety. CFT helps patients develop self-compassion as a way to regulate affect and reduce internal conflict. In my practice, I use CFT to help individuals understand how their emotional responses are shaped by evolutionary and social influences. Through guided imagery, mindfulness, and psychoeducation, I work with patients to build their “compassionate self,” develop emotional safety, and shift from self-judgment to kindness. This approach has been especially effective for patients who struggle with negative self-beliefs or have difficulty accepting care and support from others. I often integrate CFT alongside other modalities to reinforce a compassionate internal dialogue and promote long-term emotional resilience.

Existential

I incorporate principles of Existential Therapy to support clients in exploring the deeper questions of meaning, purpose, freedom, and responsibility—especially during times of transition, loss, or emotional crisis. This approach encourages clients to confront the realities of existence and make authentic choices aligned with their values. In my practice, I use existential techniques to help patients reflect on themes such as identity, isolation, mortality, and personal meaning. Rather than pathologizing distress, I view it as a natural part of the human experience. I create a space where clients can safely examine their beliefs, face uncertainty, and take ownership of their life direction. This method is particularly helpful for individuals struggling with existential anxiety, grief, or a sense of disconnection. It often complements other therapeutic approaches by fostering deeper self-awareness and empowering patients to live with greater intention and authenticity.

Humanistic

I draw on Humanistic Therapy to provide a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel fully seen and accepted. Grounded in the belief that individuals have an innate capacity for growth and self-healing, this approach centers on the therapeutic relationship as a key driver of change. In my practice, I prioritize authenticity, unconditional positive regard, and empathic understanding. I encourage clients to explore their feelings, values, and lived experiences with the goal of fostering greater self-awareness and self-acceptance. Humanistic principles often guide how I attune to each client’s unique perspective, particularly when they are navigating identity issues, self-worth challenges, or a desire for more meaningful life choices. This method supports clients in moving toward personal fulfillment and emotional well-being by helping them reconnect with their inner strengths and sense of purpose.

Positive Psychology

I incorporate Positive Psychology into my clinical work by focusing on clients' strengths, resilience, and capacity for growth, rather than solely addressing deficits or pathology. This approach helps individuals build a more balanced view of themselves and their lives, promoting well-being alongside symptom reduction. In practice, I use techniques such as strengths-based assessments, gratitude exercises, values clarification, and goal setting to help clients cultivate positive emotions, meaning, and engagement. I find this approach especially effective for individuals experiencing depression, burnout, or low self-esteem, as it shifts focus from what is wrong to what is strong. By helping clients recognize their internal resources and fostering hope and optimism, Positive Psychology enhances motivation and supports lasting change.
