Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in New Jersey. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults to provide therapeutic support to manage life transitions, improve self-esteem, and positive coping mechanisms. I recently completed a certificate in sport social work to further my knowledge to work with athletes who may experience anxiety, depression, stress, difficulty with time management and adjustment. I have extensive experience working therapeutically with students to empower them to reach their individual, athletic and academic goals. With a holistic and collaborative approach, I empower clients to recognize and build their personal resilience when facing challenges. As a mental health provider, I believe in the importance of self-care and finding opportunities to continue my education to best support my clients. I am fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session with me, you can expect a welcoming environment to start or continue your therapeutic journey. My initial session will focus on building a therapeutic rapport and trust to increase comfortability in a therapeutic setting. We will discuss your interests, expectations for therapy, current challenges and any additional topics you feel comfortable sharing. This session is tailored to you and your comfortability to share your journey. In future sessions, I would like to explore your individual goals for treatment and ways to achieve identified goals. In addition, we will explore positive coping mechanisms to manage symptoms.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to build trust and therapeutic rapport with my clients. I provide a nonjudgmental stance, empathy and encouragement to support my clients to meet their individual goals. I continuously work on furthering my education on various topics related to mental health in order to remain current and best support my clients. I have furthered my education by completing a certificate in sport social work, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I believe my desire to continue learning helps support a diverse therapeutic skill set that focuses on individualized treatment to fit my client's individual strengths and needs.
