Adrianne Warner
I’m a compassionate and supportive therapist dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change. I strive to provide a safe, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we’ll explore your goals, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to help you feel more confident and fulfilled.
First session
During your first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. I’ll ask questions about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, goals, strengths, and what you hope to get out of counseling. We’ll also complete an intake assessment, which may include information about your personal and family history, mental health, medical history, relationships, and current life circumstances. This first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what feels important to you, and learn more about how I work. We’ll discuss confidentiality, expectations for therapy, and develop a plan that is tailored to your individual needs and goals. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and comfortable taking the next step in your therapeutic journey.
Strengths
I bring compassion, patience, and genuine understanding to my practice. My years of working with children, teens, and young adults have helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to connect with clients at different stages of life. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I also bring a strengths-based perspective, focusing on each person’s unique abilities and potential while helping them develop practical tools to manage challenges, build confidence, and create positive change.
Ideal clients
My ideal clients are individuals who may be struggling with intense emotions, feeling overwhelmed, or having difficulty navigating challenging experiences. I work with people experiencing anxiety, trauma, self-harm, suicidal thoughts or past attempts, crisis situations, emotional dysregulation, or significant life transitions. I have extensive training and experience supporting individuals through suicidal ideation, self-harm, crisis, and other emotionally difficult experiences. I understand that when emotions feel intense or overwhelming, it can be difficult to know where to turn or how to move forward. I provide a compassionate, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients can feel heard and understood. My goal is to help clients better understand their emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, build on their strengths, and feel more confident in navigating life’s challenges. Whether someone is experiencing a crisis or simply feels stuck and wants support, I strive to meet each person where they are and help them move toward meaningful change.
Treatment methods
EMDR
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as one of the approaches in my practice to help clients process difficult or traumatic experiences that may continue to affect their thoughts, emotions, relationships, or daily lives. EMDR can be helpful when past experiences feel “stuck” and continue to trigger intense emotional or physical reactions in the present. When appropriate, I use EMDR in a paced and individualized way. We first focus on building safety, trust, and coping skills before beginning trauma processing. I want clients to feel prepared and in control throughout the process. EMDR is not about forcing you to relive painful experiences; rather, it is a structured approach designed to help your brain process distressing memories in a healthier way. I may incorporate EMDR alongside other therapeutic approaches based on your needs and goals. My priority is always to move at a pace that feels safe, supportive, and manageable for you.
