Taking the first step to reach out and engage in therapy can feel scary and overwhelming. My goal is to help you meet your mental health needs in a supportive and personalized environment. Everyone needs encouragement and life, as we know, can be stressful at times. I am dedicated to helping those of us who may feel stuck. There is a path to a better life that lies within you, I will meet you where you are and support you as you grow. I received my Masters of Social Work from Cleveland State University and my Undergrad at the University of Akron. I specialize in Complex Trauma, anxiety, depression and PTSD. I work with individuals and couples. I am originally from Ireland and have lived in Australia and New York before moving to Ohio. My goal is to support my clients in identifying the origin of their struggle. Identify individual and realistic goals with coping skills that work for them. When we understand the origin of the problem we can address the symptoms. Rather than relive the trauma we can challenge the impact.
In our first meeting we will begin a collaborative process to build rapport and trust. We will get to know each other a little and feel if this will be a good fit. I may ask you some questions to better understand your concerns and goals. Please feel free to ask me any questions so you can feel comfortable to move forward.
