I’m a licensed therapist who supports adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices including ACT, CBT, and mindfulness. I help clients develop a healthier relationship with their thoughts and emotions while building practical skills for lasting change. With a background in trauma-focused work, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), I provide a safe and supportive space for processing difficult experiences. I also bring a culturally responsive lens, shaped by my multicultural background and experience working with diverse communities, including refugees and asylum seekers. My style is warm, helpful, relaxing and human. I respect YOU as the expert in your life experiences.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and understood. We’ll start by talking about what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping to get out of it. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as feels right—there’s no pressure to tell your whole story all at once. I move at your pace and prioritize helping you feel safe and supported from the very beginning. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your current concerns, relevant history, and the areas of your life you’d like support with. This helps me get a fuller picture of your experiences while also identifying your strengths and what’s already working for you. We may also begin to explore patterns in thoughts, emotions, or behaviors that feel important to address. I’ll introduce how I work and the approaches I use, such as ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, so you have a clear sense of what therapy with me will look like. If it feels appropriate, we may begin with a small, practical tool or grounding exercise you can use between sessions. We’ll also talk about your goals for therapy—what meaningful change would look like for you—and begin to outline a direction for our work together. I see therapy as a collaborative process, so your feedback, preferences, and questions are always welcome. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a better understanding of how I can support you, as well as a sense of whether this feels like a good fit. My aim is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and with a bit more clarity and direction than when you arrived.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to create a safe, attuned, and nonjudgmental space while also helping clients make meaningful, practical changes. I balance compassion with structure, supporting clients in feeling deeply understood while also gently guiding them toward growth. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as ACT, CBT, mindfulness, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to tailor treatment to each client’s needs. I’m especially skilled at helping clients shift their relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions, rather than feeling controlled by them, and move toward values-driven action. Clients often appreciate my ability to be both grounded and direct—offering clear insights, tools, and strategies they can apply in real life. I also bring a strong trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens, helping clients feel seen, respected, and supported in the context of their unique experiences. My goal is not just symptom relief, but helping clients build lasting resilience, self-awareness, and a stronger sense of alignment in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support adults who are insightful, motivated, and seeking meaningful change in how they relate to themselves and others. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, stress, trauma-related symptoms, or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns, and want more clarity, emotional balance, and a stronger sense of purpose. I work well with individuals who are open to self-reflection and ready to build practical skills while also deepening self-understanding. I also have strong experience working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including those navigating identity, life transitions, or the impact of migration and systemic stressors. My approach is especially supportive for clients who want both effective tools and a compassionate, culturally responsive space to process and grow. My approach is Helpful AND Human. When you're ready Im here!

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility and develop a healthier relationship with their thoughts and emotions. Rather than focusing on eliminating distress, I support clients in practicing acceptance, cognitive defusion, and mindfulness while identifying their core values. I then help them take meaningful, values-based actions, even in the presence of discomfort.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy to help clients increase present-moment awareness, reduce reactivity, and build a more compassionate relationship with their internal experiences. Drawing from my background as a former yoga teacher, I integrate breathwork, body awareness, and grounding practices into sessions. This approach supports clients in regulating their nervous system, improving emotional balance, and responding to stress with greater intention and clarity.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to distress. I support them in reframing these thoughts and developing healthier behaviors and coping strategies. This approach is practical, structured, and focused on building skills clients can apply in daily life.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I provide culturally sensitive therapy grounded in cultural humility and respect for each client’s unique identity and lived experience. As someone from a multicultural background who has worked with refugees and asylum seekers in a humanitarian nonprofit setting, I bring awareness to the impact of culture, migration, and systemic factors on mental health. I strive to create an inclusive, affirming space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered.

Trauma Informed Care

I practice trauma-informed care by prioritizing safety, trust, and empowerment in the therapeutic relationship. I specialize in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to support clients in processing traumatic experiences in a structured, efficient, and client-centered way. My approach is paced to each client’s readiness, with a focus on reducing distress while building a sense of control and resilience.
