Welcome! Do you notice feeling overwhelmed or just not like yourself? Are you working to overcome trauma or compassion fatigue? You are in the right place. Together, I work with you to develop skills you can use in therapy and beyond. My name is Marcia Kostoff and I am excited for the opportunity to meet with you. Stress and anxiety, while normal parts of life, can quickly leave us feeling overwhelmed, our thoughts stuck on what-ifs or worst-case scenarios and unsure where to turn. Changes in jobs, moving, family stressors and loss are just some of the obstacles we face where we may notice our stress rise and need some support. Our time together will create the space and support you need to thrive. Many of us have also experienced trauma in our lives and may notice feeling anxious, irritable, lonely, and unsure of who we are. Healing is possible. Together, we will process difficult experiences, changing the way you see yourself and the world and feeling more hopeful about your future. Please allow me to walk alongside you in transformative moments that will move you forward feeling encouraged, heard, and more in control of your life. Together, we will get you back on your personal path to success. I am a CBT, DBT, and CPT therapist who is passionate about skill-building and promoting growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My mission in making the transition and leap into private practice is to provide a safe inclusive space for individuals to find their way again. I want to provide education and support in techniques that work remarkably well to manage anxiety, daily stressors and to heal from past trauma. My goal is to leave my clients feeling capable and proud, able to utilize what they learn in sessions in their daily lives well beyond the session and the time we spend together.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

With expertise in CBT, DBT and CPT, I bring clinical expertise but you bring something even more important. You are the expert in your own life, the creator of your story. I am honored to walk alongside you and do my best to support you in your next chapter. I am an LPCC (licensed professional clinical counselor) and CRC (certified rehabilitation counselor) as well as a certified clinical trauma professional. I believe in customizing treatment to best fit the client and utilizing CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, CPT and mindfulness interventions. Your treatment plan can change and will mirror the progress made in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Facing anxiety? We will focus on building coping skills, overcoming challenging thoughts and navigating feelings of overwhelm. What about PTSD or trauma? Healing is possible. Using evidence-based practices, we will work through these difficult moments together. Together, we will create a safe space for you to process and move toward growth.  Experiencing compassion fatigue? Together, we will identify your strengths, navigate the stressors and give you practical tools to recover your joy in helping others while appreciating and honoring yourself.  Wanting to grow or feeling stuck in your career?
