(he/him)
Over the past 10 years I have had the privilege of supporting countless people through challenging periods in their life. As a therapist, I see my role as helping people build meaningful lives. I specialize in supporting families and individuals struggling with depression or emotional dysregulation, teaching concrete skills to move out of crisis and into a life with more fulfillment.
In your first session with me, we will spend our time working to understand what brings you to therapy, and then setting clear goals. I enjoy working with people, but I don't want to see any one person forever. When we first meet, we will set clear measurable goals that we will be working towards in therapy.
As a clinician I believe a strength of mine is in supporting my clients in developing a better understanding of themselves. Through the development of self-compassion, mindfulness, and concrete skills I have guided countless individuals and families through crisis.
I am passionate about supporting families who are navigating teenage years. Parenting teens is hard under the best of circumstances. When the teen is struggling or a parent is struggling, it can feel almost impossible. I want to help make it feel more possible. In addition to working with teens, I also enjoy providing individual therapy to adults who are struggling to find meaning and purpose in their life. Helping people build the life they want is my goal for every person I work with.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I have completed intensive training in DBT through Behavioral Tech, and additional training in DBT PE. I am committed to supporting my clients build a life worth living through DBT informed therapy.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience treating a range of problems with CBT including anxiety, depression, and OCD. While DBT is my primary modality, based on my assessment and discussion with clients, CBT makes more sense.
Family Therapy
In all of my work, but especially in my work with teens, I primarily see myself as a family therapist. I love helping families navigate challenges, rebuild connections, and helping parents find ways to show up in ways that they are proud of.
