I am a licensed LCSW/LCADCA in Kentucky with 6 years of clinical work experience and over 5 years of working with various populations. I attended Bellarmine University with a concentration in Psychology. I have a BSW and an MSSW from The Kent School of Social Work. I have experience in helping clients heal through stress, anxiety, substance abuse, childhood/lifetime trauma, PTSD, borderline personality, depression, self-esteem, family conflict, sexual dysfunction, professional career stress, and anger management. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment/shame. Authenticity and acceptance of self is a superpower that allows you to accomplish amazing things. I specialize in Trauma/Addiction/mental health with a focus on skill-building, self-compassion, and trauma-informed care. I am sex-positive and inclusive in all sessions. Taking the steps to seek a better life can be scary and hard. We can be afraid and do hard things at the same time. I am here to support you in that process and help you embrace how beautiful life can be. I am open to discussing sliding scale options for those who wish to pursue private pay.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
I will take a brief history and begin setting goals for treatment with them.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My biggest strengths are trauma work, sex-positive therapy, and addiction/mental health. Trauma can be addressed in several different ways and if left unaddressed can make it difficult for clients to find relief through therapy. I am well-versed in the physical and developmental impact of trauma across the lifespan and allow the client to choose the pace in which we work through trauma. Working with individuals to gain insight into managing their mental health or addiction is an additional strength of mine. I have worked with this population for the majority of my career and have personal experience with sobriety that allows an additional level of understanding and support to those who are addressing these issues. Inclusive work with LGBTQIA+, polyamory, ENM.
