I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist based in California. I received my Masters from San Diego State University and my Doctorate from California School of Professional Psychology. I have been practicing for over 20 years working with children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma. I help individuals to recover from painful experiences and collaboratively discover the healthier choices they want to make.
In our first session together, we’ll start with brief introduction. If you have been to therapy before, we will identify those things you enjoyed and the ones that were useful. If you have not been to therapy before, I will share the overall goal of psychotherapy. Then we will dive into your expectations, goals, needs, and wants from a therapeutic experience. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in our follow up sessions and ensure you receive the quality of service you deserve.
Having worked with individuals and families who have survived violent crimes, I have learned about the importance of collaboratively moving towards changes that will improve individuals, couples, and families’ wellbeing; and I have also develop skills to support you through the journey towards healthier relationships and emotional experiences
