Lindsey Stewart-Montague
I am an outdoor person who appreciates the clarity a long walk can bring. My approach to life and my profession is to focus on core strengths and values to find ideal emotional regulation. Focusing on relationships brings me joy and this is something that I want to help clients find for themselves.
First session
In a first session we will complete an assessment to understand client background and determine what areas the client may want to begin with. We will dive deep into struggles the individual was experiencing that brought them to the conclusion of seeking therapy. We will begin developing a therapeutic rapport that will carry us through successful treatment in future sessions.
Strengths
I believe therapy beings with feeling genuinely heard and understood. My approach is meeting the client where they are out without judement and in a creative supportive space.
Ideal clients
I work best with clients that have realized they are struggling and made the step to seek outside help. These client are prepared to put in emotional work to make steps towards change that will reflect in their lives emotionally, mentally, and in every day functioning. These client would be open minded to trying new skills to determine what outside work best fits their needs.

I strive to create a therapeutic relationship built on empathy, authenticity, respect, and trust. I will provide a safe judgment-free environment with active listening and respect for individual experiences. Supporting the client in creating change at a pace that feels comfortable to them while building on existing strengths and resilience. As a therapist, I see you as the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you who you should be or how you should live, but to walk alongside you as you gain insight, build confidence, work through challenges, and discover what feels meaningful to you.
