Every one of us faces difficult times, and some seasons of pain last longer than others. Oftentimes, we can find ourselves “stuck" and in need of some extra help. We are not made to do life alone, and I am here to support you in your journey of healing. Let therapy be something that you allow into your life, as a means of both working through pain and growing in insight as an individual.
The first session is a “get to know you” session, as I listen to your story, what brings you to counseling, and learn about your goals for change. We will see if we are a good fit for this process. My goal for this session is to really listen and understand what brings you to therapy and how I can be of help to you during this time.
My therapeutic style is collaborative and I tailor treatment to your specific needs. I have specialty training in Gestalt therapy which emphasizes your unique experience, a focus on the present, the environment, and our therapeutic relationship. I also use multiple disciplines in my work, including utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy.
I understand that people oftentimes just need someone who is dedicated to walking alongside them in their pain. We all need to know that we are not alone and that there is hope. My strength is helping you to recognize YOUR strength.
