New clients continue care with this provider

Welcome! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I have been in the counseling field for 10 years. I received my undergraduate degree and Master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. I work with adolescents, 20-somethings, and adults who are navigating difficult transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression. I help women with challenges around pregnancy and postpartum, as well as men experiencing issues with adjusting to parenthood. In addition, I help individuals contemplating a divorce/break-up and through the process of divorce/break-up, including co-parenting related-issues.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will review therapy expectations and logistics, including confidentiality, scheduling, my therapeutic style, and how sessions typically go. We discuss what brought you to therapy, what issues you are currently experiencing, and review your goals for therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am able to create a safe and comfortable space to explore thoughts, feelings, unhelpful patterns, traumas, etc. I am solution-focused and aim to give clients tangible strategies and tools that they can implement outside of sessions.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with clients who are going through major life transitions, including graduating school, career change or wanting a career change, pregnancy or new addition to the family, and changes in relationship status. I like to help people who may be having anxiety around making difficult decisions or identifying the best next steps.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Although I use other approaches based on a Client's needs and preferences, I primarily use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy methods to help clients explore and identify their unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to their symptoms. We'll work on challenging and reframing those thoughts to be more helpful and identify other strategies to help manage and reduce presenting issues.
