I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 11 years of experience helping individuals navigate how to best improve their mental health. While I specialize in anxiety, trauma, ADHD, substance use, and depression--I have significant experience with a wide range of diagnoses. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and have been committed to creating a safe, supportive, and down-to-earth space for healing and growth ever since. My goal for each session is for you to leave with direction--knowing a little more clearly what you should do next.
In our work together, we’ll identify meaningful goals that align with what you want for your life—and we’ll approach obstacles as a team. I use CBT, EMDR, and Motivational Interviewing to guide our work, but the most important part is that therapy feels relevant and personalized to where you are right now. In our first session, we will go over your history, chat about your goals, and what you hope to achieve from therapy. You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin—we’ll take it one step at a time, together.
My style is warmly direct and often sprinkled with humor. Therapy can be serious, but it can also be human, flexible, and even light at times. I also believe in the healing power of animals and the comfort and emotional connection they can offer throughout the healing process. I want my clients to leave each session feeling we've accomplished something.
I love working with a variety of individuals, couples, and families. I'd enjoy working with anyone who wants to make a positive change in their life, even if they aren't quite sure what that looks like yet. I'm here to help you figure out what to do next.
We will utilize CBT to address how your thoughts trigger feelings and behaviors.
EMDR is an evidence based treatment normally geared towards trauma, though can be helpful for other symptoms as well.
MI is utilized to assist clients in moving from one stage of change to another, ultimately helping guide them towards their goals.
Utilizing various therapy frameworks to help you reconnect with your partner, improve communication, and get back to working as a team.
Most people have experienced some sort of trauma in their lives--it's my job to help you sort through how your past may be showing up in your present.
