Hello, I am Paulina. Are you looking for ways to improve your mental health and overall wellbeing? I am a licensed social worker in Florida and I work with individuals who are experiencing substance use disorders, stress, psychotic disorders, depression, anxiety and/or other mood disorders. Together, we can work towards awareness, growth, and meeting your needs and individual goals. This is a safe, judgement-free space. I utilize empathy, compassion and evidence-based interventions in my practice. I will begin our therapeutic relationship by asking you some questions about yourself and meeting you where you are at. Simultaneously, I will be working to ensure you feel welcome and empowered to be proactive in therapy. We will then work towards your goals, needs and wants from this experience. I welcome any and all feedback, I am here to ensure that you have a safe space to heal and grow.
I will be utilizing evidence-based interventions during therapy. I work from solution-focused, psychoanalytic, cognitive behavioral and person-centered theoretical approaches. At this time, I am only offering Telehealth services, where we will engage in talk-therapy, incorporating mindfulness techniques.
I have several years of experience working with substance use disorders, psychotic disorders and mood disorders, either individually or while comorbid with other disorders/illnesses. I also help people manage stress, burnout, time-management and relationship issues. I have worked at clinic, psychiatric facility, residential and outpatient treatment agency settings. I have worked with many ethnicities, cultures, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Some of my individual strengths are organization, being oriented to detail and flexibility.
