Hello, I am Paulina. Are you looking for ways to improve your mental health and overall wellbeing? Are you interested in finding a therapist who will work with you to identify issues, understand them, and take action to help you live a better life? I am a licensed social worker in Florida and Colorado, and I work with individuals who are experiencing effects of trauma, stress, identity, LGBTQ+, depression, anxiety and/or other mood disorders. Together, we can work towards awareness, growth, and meeting your needs and individual goals. This is a safe, judgement-free space. I utilize empathy, compassion and evidence-based interventions in my practice. I will work to create a comfortable therapeutic environment for you where we can collaborate towards a better life for you. I am here to help!
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will focus on identifying goals, creating a comfortable therapeutic relationship and making sure that we are the best fit for your therapy needs.
The treatment methods and tools I utilize
I will be utilizing evidence-based interventions during therapy. I work from solution-focused, psychoanalytic, cognitive behavioral and person-centered theoretical approaches. At this time, I am only offering Telehealth services, where we will engage in talk-therapy, incorporating mindfulness techniques.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have several years of experience working with trauma, substance use disorders, psychotic disorders and mood disorders, either individually or while comorbid with other disorders/illnesses. I also help people manage stress, burnout, time-management and relationship issues. I have worked at clinic, psychiatric facility, residential and outpatient treatment agency settings. I have worked with many ethnicities, cultures, and members of the LGBTQ+ community - this is a safe and inclusive space.
