I am Jasmine Bryant and I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner who has a passion for helping others, especially in the realm of mental health care. I have desire to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals struggling with mental health challenges. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I have the ability and opportunity to provide compassionate care, support, and treatment to those in need, contributing to their overall well-being and recovery journey. Patients should expect a warm welcome and greeting and then a comprehensive assessment aimed at understanding their current mental health concerns, medical history, and treatment goals. I will conduct an initial interview to gather information about the patients presenting issues, symptoms, and concerns. I may ask about the patients current medical history, including any previous mental health diagnoses, medications, and treatments. Furthermore, I will complete a thorough assessment of the patients mental health symptoms, including your mood, thoughts, behaviors, and any physical symptoms you may be experiencing.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner some of my greatest strengths include: Compassion and empathy, I have the ability to empathize with patients experiencing mental health challenges. My clinic expertise in both medical care and mental health allows me to provide comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, education and treatment plans tailored to each individuals unique needs.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner I work with a wide range of patients across the lifespan who are experiencing various mental health challenges. Some of the types of patients that I may may work with include: Children and adolescents: With conditions such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, depression, behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. Adults: I work with adults experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, PTSD, substance abuse disorders, eating disorders, and other mood and psychotic disorders. Geriatric patients: I also work with older adults who may be experiencing mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, cognitive impairment, dementia, and adjustment disorders related to aging, chronic illness, or life transitions. I also have experience with Individuals with co-occurring disorders such as: substance use disorders, requiring integrated treatment approaches to address both issues effectively. Furthermore, I work with complex psychiatric conditions that require ongoing management, such as treatment-resistant depression, severe anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, or personality disorders.
