(she/her)
I’m a Board Certified Psychiatrist who takes a whole person-centered approach to care. I believe that each person's story, experiences and goals are unique -and so is the path to healing. My role is to partner with you to understand you needs and design an individualized treatment plan that supports your emotional, spiritual and physical well being. Medication can be an imortant tool in treatment, especially when therapy alone is not enough. Together, we'll explore your options and find the right balance of care that helps you move toward lasting wellness. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported and empowered.
Our first session will focus on what brings you into care, your main concerns, and the goals you'd like to achieve. You’ll also have a chance to ask questions and learn more about how I work. This conversation helps us build a foundation of trust and collaboration from the start.
Clients often describe my approach as compassionate, understanding, and deeply engaged. I blend several therapeutic modalities, with a psychodynamic emphasis that helps uncover the deeper patterns shaping our thoughts and emotions. This integrative style goes beyond surface-level symptom relief to foster long-term growth and resilience.
I specialize in working with individuals experiencing mood disorders, trauma, and PTSD, as well as those navigating challenges related to dysfunctional family systems, personality patterns, or the effects of another person's substance misuse. My goal is to help you build greater insight, stability, and a stronger sense of self.
Integrative
For the past 4 years, I’ve extensively training and utilized CBT, supportive and psychodynamic psychotherapy in working with my patients. I completed an additional two year course in Psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Florida Psychoanalytic Institute. I blend these approaches based on the clients needs. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is my primary approach, as I believe unresolved trauma and significant primary relationships shape our perspective.
Supportive
I use supportive therapy in every encounter with my patient, and have experience either this treatment method for four years. My focus with all my patients is establishing emotional safety through a compassionate non- judge mental approach.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I was trained and utilize CBT for 4 years. Thoughts precede emotions, therefore identifying thoughts that precede negative emotions helps alter one’s perspective and improves emotions.
