I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor (LPC-S) with over 13 years of experience helping adults navigate life's challenges, strengthen relationships, and rediscover themselves. I specialize in anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship concerns, and women's issues. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical.

We can talk about what happened to you. But we're also going to talk about what happens next.

I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported while also being challenged to grow. There's no one-size-fits-all approach to healing, and I tailor our work to your unique needs, experiences, and goals.

First session

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your concerns, and identify what you hope to accomplish. I'll ask questions to better understand your experiences, but there's no pressure to share everything at once. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, respected, and comfortable with the direction we're taking. We'll also begin identifying goals and discussing how we can work together to help you move forward.

Strengths

I bring a combination of compassion, honesty, humor, and accountability to my sessions. I'm a straight shooter, but I also recognize that everyone needs something different. Sometimes that means providing a safe space to process emotions, and other times it means asking the tough questions or challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I believe meaningful growth requires both support and accountability. My approach is conversational, down-to-earth, and tailored to each client's needs. You can expect me to meet you where you are while encouraging you to move toward where you want to be.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is an adult navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck. You may be someone who has spent years putting everyone else's needs before your own or someone who struggles to understand your emotions, establish boundaries, or break unhealthy patterns. You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. I enjoy working with individuals who are open to self-exploration, willing to have honest conversations, and interested in making meaningful changes, even when the process feels uncomfortable.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we'll identify negative thought patterns, challenge beliefs that may be holding you back, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. My approach is practical and collaborative. I won't just tell you to think positively. We'll work on understanding why you think and respond the way you do, while building tools to help you make meaningful changes in your everyday life.

Faith-based therapy

For clients who desire to incorporate their faith into therapy, I offer an approach that integrates spiritual beliefs and values with evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Faith can be an important source of strength, guidance, and healing. Together, we can explore life's challenges through both a clinical and spiritual lens while working toward emotional wellness and personal growth. Faith-based therapy is always guided by your preferences, and I respect each client's individual beliefs. You do not have to share my faith to feel welcomed, respected, and supported.

Gottman method

I incorporate principles from the Gottman Method to help clients better understand relationship patterns, improve communication, and navigate conflict in healthier ways. Whether you're struggling with trust, emotional disconnection, recurring disagreements, or rebuilding after relationship challenges, we'll explore how your experiences and behaviors influence your relationships. My goal is to help you develop greater emotional awareness, establish healthy boundaries, and build stronger, more meaningful connections with others.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their feelings about change, especially when they feel stuck, uncertain, or conflicted about what to do next. Rather than telling you what decisions to make, I'll help you identify what matters most to you, understand what's holding you back, and strengthen your confidence in making choices that align with your goals. Change isn't always easy, and you don't have to have everything figured out. We'll work together to help you move forward at a pace that feels manageable.
