Hello! My name is Brigit Jacoby and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I provide clients a therapeutic guide to healing, developing tools to navigate life’s challenges as well as build on what is currently working. My therapeutic approach is heavily dependent on what my clients bring to session including managing Anxiety, Depression and working on balancing personal and work relationships.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My calm tone and gentle presence provides a safe space for clients to share what is on their mind. I am ready to meet the client where they are at and help tackle their current struggles.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Some of my greatest strengths as a provider would be my soft tone when providing Motivational Interviewing and/or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My favorite deep work I am passionate about is called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and it is a modality I often utilize with clients.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is likely dealing with: 1. Confidence Struggles: Chronic self-doubt (“What if I fail?” “I’m behind.”) Imposter syndrome, especially in new or competitive fields Difficulty trusting their own decisions 2. Anxiety: Overthinking and rumination about career choices Fear of making the “wrong” move Avoidance (procrastination, staying stuck in unsatisfying roles) 3. Depression: Low motivation, especially when job searching or pivoting Loss of identity tied to previous roles Feelings of hopelessness or lack of direction My ideal client is not just looking for symptom relief — they want: Clarity about their next career step Tools to manage anxiety and overthinking Rebuilt confidence and self-trust Support that actually fits their brain (not generic advice) Permission to create a nontraditional path I am not just helping with anxiety or depression —I am helping clients: Rebuild identity during transition Work with (not against) their neurodivergent brain Develop confidence through aligned action Navigate uncertainty with emotional regulation tools

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

This is why I believe learning and understanding ACT as my primary approach is beneficial- In ACT, mindfulness is the practice of being in full contact with the present moment, observing your thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment, and without either clinging to pleasant experiences or pushing away unpleasant ones. It is a set of skills rather than a state, and it is in service of something: acting in line with your values, not just feeling calm. The distinction matters practically. Someone can learn breathing techniques that produce relaxation and still use those techniques to avoid dealing with the relationship issue, the career dissatisfaction, or the grief they're carrying. Mindfulness in ACT is always connected to values-based living, not just to feeling better in the moment.

she gives me a new perspective on things, with leaving my feelings, very validated. She helps me work towards new things, and kind of break out of my cycle. I really enjoyed talking to her, and I have seen the many benefits from that !

she was very sweet, and welcoming. Bridget seemed like she really wanted to get to the base of the problem and where to go from there. she was very genuine and in the fact that she was willing to help me work through things

I thought that she seemed very easy to communicate with openly and I find that inviting feeling to be important for individuals looking for therapy. She was very intelligent, positive, and creates a safe space easily.
