New to Grow
I am a 2015 graduate of the University of the Cumberlands and have experience working across a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient, intensive outpatient, and private practice. I have worked with diverse populations ranging from adolescents to adults, providing support for concerns such as substance use, anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about helping individuals create meaningful, lasting change. I strive to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. My goal is to help clients gain insight, build coping skills, and experience a positive impact in their daily lives, relationships, and overall well-being.
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and comfortable environment where we begin getting to know one another. We will review expectations for therapy, discuss confidentiality, and talk about what you hope to gain from the process. I will gather information about your background, current concerns, and goals so I can better understand your unique experiences. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and decide if I am a good fit for your needs. My priority is to ensure you feel safe, respected, and supported as we begin your therapeutic journey.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to connect with clients through empathy and understanding. I strive to meet clients where they are, acknowledging their challenges while helping them feel supported and not alone in their experiences. I am able to relate to the difficulties clients face while also providing gentle guidance and practical suggestions to help them navigate those challenges. I value creating a balanced approach that includes compassion, honesty, and encouragement, allowing clients to feel both supported and motivated to grow.
I work best with clients who are ready to grow and feel more empowered in themselves. They may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or out of balance between work and home life, but have a desire to make meaningful changes. Together, we focus on building confidence, creating balance, and developing practical tools to help them feel more in control and aligned in their daily lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that impact emotions and behaviors. Together, we build practical skills to reframe thinking, improve coping, and create meaningful, lasting change in daily life.
