Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will begin by building a trusting therapeutic relationship, which is essential for creating a safe and supportive environment for your healing journey. Establishing this foundation allows us to work collaboratively and openly as we move forward. I will also ask you detailed questions about your current symptoms, the history and duration of these symptoms, your mental and physical health background, and any significant life circumstances that may be affecting you. Together, we will collaboratively develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and goals. This plan will guide our work and help create a clear path toward meaningful and lasting change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my genuine empathy and ability to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I am attentive and highly attuned to the unique experiences of each individual, which helps me build strong therapeutic relationships based on trust and respect. I am also goal-oriented, working with clients to focus on their objectives and progress throughout therapy. I bring a holistic perspective to my work, considering not only mental health but also how physical, emotional, and social factors interact in a person’s life. My clients often appreciate my warmth, authenticity, and collaborative approach, which encourages them to engage actively in their healing process. I am committed to supporting clients with compassion and dedication, helping them find practical ways to overcome challenges and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults who are ready to engage actively in their healing and personal growth journey. They may be experiencing stress, life transitions, anxiety, depression, challenges with anger management, impulse control, addiction, low self-esteem, or difficulties in relationships. These clients are motivated to explore their feelings, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and enhance their communication with themselves and others. They value a collaborative therapeutic relationship and are open to using evidence-based approaches to make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives. If you’re seeking a safe, supportive space to gain insight, build confidence, and foster resilience, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my work, I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns, understand how these patterns influence their emotions and behaviors, and develop healthier, more balanced perspectives.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop psychological flexibility, reduce avoidance, and live in alignment with their values. My approach focuses on increasing awareness of thoughts and emotions without judgment, while fostering commitment to meaningful actions. I often combine ACT with mindfulness strategies, empowering clients to navigate difficult emotions and create lasting positive change.

EMDR

I use EMDR therapy to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences and distressing memories. Through guided bilateral stimulation, EMDR facilitates the brain’s natural healing processes, allowing clients to reduce the emotional intensity of past events.

Couples Counseling

I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples strengthen their emotional connection and build secure, loving relationships. Through EFT, I guide partners to identify and express their underlying emotions and attachment needs, fostering empathy and deeper understanding. This approach helps couples resolve conflicts, heal attachment injuries, and create lasting positive changes in their relationship.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness therapy to help clients develop present-moment awareness and reduce stress. By cultivating non-judgmental attention to thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations, clients learn to respond to challenges with greater calm and clarity. Mindfulness techniques support emotional regulation, enhance self-compassion, and improve overall well-being.
