LCSW, 7 years of experience
New to Grow
I partner with clients to uncover their strengths and increase their daily functioning. My education and experience have focused on supporting teens, college students, couples, and adults who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, and motivation challenges. I take a strength-based and trauma-informed approach, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs. When working with me, you can expect empathy, reflective listening, and evidence-based techniques such as Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you move toward your goals. I understand that attending therapy can be difficult—time, energy, and motivation can all be barriers. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, build insight, and experience healing. I am an LGBTQIA+ and disability ally and welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities.
Our first session is really about getting to know each other and seeing if we’re a good fit to work together. It’s totally normal to feel a little nervous or unsure at first, even if you’ve been to therapy before — that’s okay! We’ll spend some time reviewing your paperwork and going over the results of your depression and anxiety screeners. This helps us get a sense of where things are for you right now and start identifying goals that feel meaningful and realistic. We’ll use that information, along with your own lived experiences, to guide our work moving forward.
We’ll take time to look at the different systems and influences that shape your life and work together to find meaningful solutions. My goal is to support you in understanding and experiencing your emotions, while helping you move toward a sense of balance and peace.
I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and identities. My experience includes working with teens, college students, couples, and individuals with various disabilities. I have training in supporting people navigating fertility challenges, autism, school-related issues, anxiety, and major life transitions. With over six years of experience in public education, I also understand the unique challenges that teachers and school staff face and strive to provide a supportive space tailored to their needs.
We will focus on solutions to problems you are experiencing finding solutions together instead of focusing on the cause.
We will look at your thoughts and how it affects your bheaviors.
You come to therapy with your own experiences and strengths, and we will use those to support you on your journey.
We will work together to find internal motivation to solve problems.
Knowledge is power. Understanding your mental health will allow yourself to give yourself grace and communicate your needs.
