I offer warm and supportive environment and by using advanced therapeutic skills ,i create a client tailored approadh to address issues as depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, cultural conflict, grief and loss, life transitions. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Social work at the University of St. Denis, in Paris, France, and my Master of Arts in Psychology at Antioch University Seattle in 2005. I have worked for over 10 years at local community mental health agencies - and in several Seattle public and private schools as a school based counselor. I have a private practice in Seattle, continuing my work with adults in individual and family/couples counseling.
There will be 1-2 initial visits to ensure proper assessment and thorough evaluation. Appointment(s) are 53 minutes. These appointments will be used to evaluate, educate, and determine a mental health diagnosis. I may want to see you weekly until either your symptoms are alleviated, or your condition is stabilizing. We will work together to determine the best frequency of appointments going forward based on your health, treatment goals, and stability of your condition. Typically clients respond positively to my warm and down to earth engaging style.
My therapeutic style combines genuine empathic listening and compassionate understanding, with the more pragmatic teaching and offering suggestions of skills, necessary for everyday struggles- communication skills, relaxation techniques, self care skills, internal/external conflict resolution. I use cognitive behavioral techniques – examining thought and relationship patterns and what is working and not working, narrative therapy – your story and the impact your past has upon your present, as well as a strengths based approach – what you do well and the things about you that help you handle stress and life’s challenges and difficulties.
