I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who helps teens and adults navigate the emotional weight of anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I specialize in helping high-functioning individuals who look “fine” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck on the inside. Therapy with me is a space to feel heard, supported, and equipped with real-life tools to help you thrive.
In our first session, we’ll start by discussing what brings you to therapy. You don’t need to have the “perfect” words; we’ll figure things out together. I’ll listen without judgment, ask thoughtful questions, and help you feel safe while we identify the goals and challenges that matter most to you. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what’s going on and where we’re headed throughout the entire therapeutic process.
One of my biggest strengths is my ability to meet clients where they are, with warmth, empathy, and practical tools. I specialize in emotional regulation, which means I help clients manage intense emotions, reduce reactivity, and find steadiness in the chaos. I have the innate ability to see beyond the situations that present on the surface and find the deeper emotional patterns, core beliefs, and unmet needs that are often driving the distress. This allows me to offer insight with clarity and compassion, and to equip my clients with practical, real-life strategies that support healing, emotional regulation, and long-term growth.
I work best with clients who are juggling a lot; whether it's emotional overload, stress from life transitions, or past experiences that still affect the present. My teen clients often feel misunderstood, anxious, or emotionally reactive. They might be dealing with academic pressure, identity confusion, or social challenges while trying to manage intense emotions. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where teens can explore their thoughts and build emotional regulation skills to feel more in control. My adult clients are often high-functioning, but silently overwhelmed. They may struggle with overthinking, people-pleasing, grief, burnout, or past trauma. Many are caregivers, professionals, or students trying to keep up with life’s demands while silently feeling exhausted or disconnected. Whether you're a parent supporting a teen, a young adult navigating independence, or someone seeking relief after years of pushing through, therapy with me is about finding clarity, confidence, and emotional balance.
I use ACT in my practice to help clients identify the values that guide their lives and learn how to take meaningful action even when they feel overwhelmed by painful emotions. My experience with ACT has shown that clients benefit from shifting their focus away from controlling thoughts and instead developing psychological flexibility. In sessions, I integrate exercises that encourage acceptance, defusion, and values-based living so clients can build resilience and move forward with clarity.
I have extensive experience using CBT to help clients identify negative thought patterns and replace them with more balanced, constructive ways of thinking. In practice, I work collaboratively with clients to connect their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, creating strategies that break cycles of anxiety and depression. Homework assignments and thought records are tools I often use to reinforce skills outside of session, making CBT highly practical and effective.
I regularly draw from DBT in my practice, particularly when working with clients who struggle with emotional dysregulation, interpersonal conflict, or impulsivity. My approach includes teaching core DBT skills such as distress tolerance, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. Clients learn to create a balance between acceptance and change, which empowers them to navigate intense emotions while building healthier relationships.
In Christian Counseling, I integrate evidence-based therapeutic approaches with biblical principles to support clients who want their faith to be central to their healing journey. My experience has shown that grounding therapy in scripture, prayer, and spiritual reflection helps clients find deeper meaning and hope in the midst of challenges. I tailor the process to each client’s spiritual background, ensuring that faith is a source of strength and not imposed.
My experience with trauma-informed care has taught me the importance of safety, trust, and empowerment in every therapeutic interaction. I approach clients with sensitivity to the impact of trauma on the body and mind, ensuring interventions do not re-traumatize but instead foster healing. In practice, I integrate grounding strategies, psychoeducation, and evidence-based trauma therapies while empowering clients to move at their own pace.
