As a long-standing experienced clinician that has worked in a variety of settings and with different types of people, I have a broad range of knowledge and skills. As a therapist, I have provided services to families, couples, individuals of all ages and genders. Every matter is approached with great compassion and curiosity. I am eager to assist people to achieve a better lifestyle. I use an integrative approach in meeting a client in a holistic way. I can be tactfully direct in pointing out some real contradictions in one's thinking that can penetrate a familiar cycle. Working with me will be an open and safe place to deeply dive into issues that cause stress, anxiety and depression. Your courage to come to therapy is the beginning of your transformation.
The first session will consist of a welcome. Followed by an open discussion to ask me a few questions about my professional background. Next, we will discuss what brought them to therapy and what is one thing that they need to see afterwards to let them know it was worth their time.
My strengths are that I am compassionate, realistic and invested in helping people improve. I approach every situation with a curious nature and work collaboratively to identify those strengths to build upon to resolve one's problem.
I have been trained and have certifications in a variety of modalities. Each has been valuable in my work as a provider. Due to my broad experience and knowledge, it has afforded me the opportunity to provide services in a variety of settings, with different types of situations and a diverse group of people. As a private practice clinician, using an integrative approach gives me an opportunity to assist clients in a holistic way.
I generally incorporate a few modalities to help guide the sessions. My approach is to amplify the strengths and build long term solutions with the clients.
I have been working with couples on communication, conflict resolution and intimacy. I have incorporated a variety of knowledge to use in working with couples.
I was trained in Structural Family Therapy and the Bowen Family Theoretical Model. Both have been useful in my approach to working with families in therapy.
I was trained about how the family structure can influence the wellbeing or demise of all of the members.
