(she/her)
As a long-standing and widely diverse professional clinician, I have broad knowledge and skills as a result of many years. I've worked hard to become a sound clinician by investing in ongoing learning several modalities. I have provided services to families, couples, individuals of all ages and genders. Although I view everyone in a high regard, I am not a provider for the LGBTQIA community and persons who need additional support like documentation for court, work accommodations and clearances. I am eager to assist people to achieve a better life. That starts with changes inward to be shown outward. With an integrative approach, I have learned to meet each client where he/she is with compassion and curiosity. I can be tactfully direct in pointing out some real contradictions and ask permission to determine your readiness to tackle the unsaid stuff in the session. Your courage to seek therapy is the beginning of your transformation.
The first session will consist of a welcome. Followed by an open discussion to ask me a few questions about my professional background. Next, we will discuss what brought them to therapy and what is one thing that they need to see afterwards to let them know it was worth their time.
My strengths are that I am compassionate, realistic and invested in helping people improve. I approach every situation with a curious nature and work collaboratively to identify those strengths to build upon to resolve one's problem.
I am better positioned for clients who are over 21, experiencing mood changes and see therapy as useful to improve his/her self-awareness for a better life. I have been acknowledged for using exploring questions to probe more and help the client hear his/her comments. This helps with identifying cohesiveness or contradictions.
Integrative
I have been trained and have certifications in a variety of modalities. Each has been valuable in my work as a provider. Due to my broad experience and knowledge, it has afforded me the opportunity to provide services in a variety of settings, with different types of situations and a diverse group of people. As a private practice clinician, using an integrative approach gives me an opportunity to assist clients in a holistic way.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I generally incorporate a few modalities to help guide the sessions. My approach is to amplify the strengths and build long term solutions with the clients.
Couples Counseling
I have been working with couples on communication, conflict resolution and intimacy. I have incorporated a variety of knowledge to use in working with couples.
Family Therapy
I was trained in Structural Family Therapy and the Bowen Family Theoretical Model. Both have been useful in my approach to working with families in therapy.
Structural Family Therapy
I was trained about how the family structure can influence the wellbeing or demise of all of the members.

Mrs. Jacquelyn is very nice, empathic and fair during our first couples counseling. We will definitely be back. She was able to figure out our major issue during the first session. Now, the work will begin. Thank you Mrs. Jacquelyn
