New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with several years of experience and a Doctorate in Counseling from Liberty University. I am dedicated to supporting high-functioning individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices, creating a safe space for you to explore challenges and discover new possibilities. Together, we’ll work toward greater clarity, resilience, and a renewed sense of balance in your life.
In our first session together, my priority is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We’ll start by getting to know each other, discussing what brings you here, and exploring your goals for therapy. I’ll explain how our sessions will work, answer any questions you may have, and work with you to set a direction that feels right for you. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out — this is simply the beginning of a collaborative process where your voice, comfort, and well-being come first.
What makes me unique as a therapist is my ability to see the strengths and resilience in every client, even when they can’t yet see it themselves. I combine evidence-based techniques with an intuitive understanding of human emotion, creating a space where clients can safely challenge old patterns and build new ways of being. My approach is active and engaged — I walk alongside clients, offering both gentle guidance and practical tools to help them create lasting change.
I work with high-functioning women who look like they have it all together, but inside, they’re dealing with a lot—chronic illness, anxiety, depression, or big life changes that feel overwhelming. In our work together, you’ll have a safe, supportive space to slow down, be yourself, and explore new ways to cope that actually fit your life. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more understood, and more like you again.
Positive Psychology
My therapeutic approach integrates the principles of positive psychology to help clients identify and cultivate their strengths, values, and inner resources. I create a supportive, non‑judgmental space grounded in empathy and unconditional positive regard, encouraging self‑awareness, resilience, and personal growth. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I guide clients toward building meaningful, fulfilling lives by fostering optimism, self‑compassion, resilience, and purposeful action.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My CBT approach focuses on harnessing each client’s existing strengths to create meaningful change. We work together to identify unhelpful thinking habits, challenge them with evidence, and replace them with perspectives that support growth and well-being. I emphasize skill-building, self-reflection, and real-world application, so that clients leave each session with tools they can use immediately. By fostering self-efficacy and celebrating progress, I help clients become confident in their ability to navigate life’s challenges independently.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to create a collaborative and compassionate space where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered. I partner with individuals to explore their values, clarify their goals, and uncover their own reasons for change. Through empathic listening, open‑ended questions, affirmations, and reflective dialogue, I help transform ambivalence into purposeful action. By amplifying existing strengths and honoring each person’s autonomy, we co‑create practical, client‑driven plans that foster confidence, resilience, and sustainable progress.
Strength-Based
My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that every individual possesses unique strengths, resources, and capacities that can be harnessed to foster growth and resilience. Rather than focusing solely on problems or deficits, I collaborate with clients to identify and amplify their existing abilities, values, and successes. Through guided reflection, practical skill-building, and recognition of past achievements, I help clients see themselves as capable agents of change. This process not only builds self-efficacy but also nurtures hope, purpose, and motivation. By integrating these strengths into coping strategies and goal-setting, clients develop sustainable tools to navigate challenges and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, my work centers on empathy, authenticity, and respect. I provide a safe space for clients to explore their experiences, discover their strengths, and create positive change from within.
