I have 20 years of experience counseling a diverse array of adult clients. In my office, each person is treated as the unique individual they are without judgment or comparison. I start by listening to understand your story, your strengths, your needs, and your goals. I will work with you to identify techniques and strategies to cope with depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, parenting concerns, substance abuse recovery, difficulty setting boundaries, low self-esteem, caregiving stress, grief, work-life balance stress, and other life challenges. We will work together to build a toolbox of healthy coping strategies and skills that will lead you to reach your goals.
The goal of the first session is to build a relationship and trust between you and I. My goal is to do a lot of listening so that I can understand your personal story, what your concerns are, what your goals and hopes are, what your support network looks like, what has worked well for you in the past, what hasn't worked in the past. Then together, we'll identify goals and create a plan for our work together.
